The goal of the public task "Youth creates dialogue: theatre and mentoring for integration" is to develop the social and civic competences, sense of agency and belonging among young people with migration experience living in Kraków. The project also aims to deepen understanding of their situation and foster greater openness towards them among city residents.
Funded by the Narodowy Instytut Wolności – Centrum Rozwoju Społeczeństwa Obywatelskiego under the government "NOWEFIO Civic Initiatives Fund 2021–2030" programme, a series of theatre classes for children and young people will be co-financed. The classes will support participants' personal development, build their confidence, foster creative expression, and develop collaboration and relationship-building skills. The work will result in an original play to be presented at theatre festivals in Kraków, Wrocław and Kielce.
The same funding will fully finance the "Youth for the Community" mentoring and development programme. It includes workshops developing civic, leadership and communication competences, critical thinking, dialogue and collaboration skills, and the ability to design one's own community initiatives.
We are glad that, thanks to the support of the Narodowy Instytut Wolności – Centrum Rozwoju Społeczeństwa Obywatelskiego, we can create a space of quality education, development and shared activity for young people.
