The aim of the public task “Young People Create Dialogue: Theatre and Mentoring for Integration” is to develop the social and civic competences, sense of agency, and sense of belonging of young people with migration experience living in Kraków. The project also seeks to foster greater understanding and openness among the city’s residents towards their situation.

A series of theatre workshops for children and young people will be co-financed by the National Freedom Institute – Centre for Civil Society Development under the Government Programme Civic Initiatives Fund NOWEFIO for 2021–2030. The workshops will support participants’ personal development, self-confidence, creative expression, ability to cooperate, and relationship-building skills. The programme will culminate in an original theatre production to be presented at theatre festivals in Kraków, Wrocław, and Kielce.

The same funding will fully cover the mentoring and development programme “Young People for the Community”, which will include workshops aimed at developing civic, leadership, and communication competences, critical-thinking skills, the ability to engage in dialogue and cooperation, and the capacity to design and implement participants’ own social initiatives.

We are delighted that, with the support of the National Freedom Institute – Centre for Civil Society Development, we are able to create a space where young people can benefit from high-quality education, personal development, and collective action.
